The answer to the most asked question: We are in the state of Oregon (not Washington) just north of the city of Portland by the city of St. Helens (not the mountain although we do have an excellent view of the active volcano from our area along with Mt Hood, Mt Rainier, Mt Jefferson and Mt Adams). You can see our rabbits at shows in the Pacific Northwest, the Washington Convention and the ARBA Convention. See how our rabbits placed here.

We were very honored to win BEST OF BREED at the 2008 ARBA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky.

We are responsible breeders breeding for QUALITY,
not quantity.

All of the Tans we work with in our breeding program are registered. (INFO) Without exception, ALL of our rabbits have complete pedigrees.

There is a difference between stock that is sold as show quality and brood stock:

When we sell show quality rabbits, these are rabbits in the prime of their show career or youngsters that are just ready to enter into their prime.

If they are noted as brood stock, these are show quality rabbits that have finished their show career. While they can still be shown, they are past their "prime". They are ready to start making show quality babies for you. Their individual show results are available upon request.

For northwest buyers, we typically deliver to shows. You can also pick up locally by appointment only. For those outside of the NW, we can ship through a variety of airlines to a major hub in your area. We will do our best to find the most direct and affordable shipping solution for you. We will get back to you with an accurate quote as quickly as possible but please understand, we work regular jobs to support our rabbit habit. With the cut backs at the airlines, at times it takes a bit to get through to a real person so please be patient. You are welcome to research the costs and options - we are flexible. WE CANNOT ACCOMMODATE REQUESTS TO SHIP TO CANADA AT THIS TIME.

We do not sell rabbits for meat or fur or to animal feeders or trainers or for testing purposes.

PAYMENT OPTIONS: We accept cash only in person. Do not mail cash. For your security and convenience, you can pay using any major credit card via PayPal to tanrabbits@yahoo.com. We do accept checks but please understand, we have to collect the NSF fee the bank charges us if it is returned unpaid (currently $35).

Please note: If you would like a specific rabbit held for you, our hold fee is $25 per rabbit. HOLD = normally 30 days or less unless we agree to other arrangements. The hold fee is not refundable but it will be applied to your purchase. We have found this helps weed out the serious buyers from the lookie-loo's. We are very flexible but have found it necessary to implement this requirement. Because of our meticulous health and santitation standards, the rabbits you buy from us will be healthy and sound. There are no " sick" rabbit conditions on the sales of our Tans.

If you are looking for ShowBloom in the northwest, we offer drop shipment directly from the factory to your doorstep: www.urbanrabbits.net/showBloom.htm.
