We have worked with Blues since we began our Tan adventure. Although we really liked what we were getting out of our program and they were very consistent, in 2006 we decided to revamp our Blue breeding plan from the ground up. We challenged our paradigms and focused on specific areas we felt could be improved. Fast forward to today, we are quite pleased with the results of the new focus. Our Blues do not fade a bit to the tip of their tails. Their surface color is a beautiful deep rich Blue. Their type is on par with the Black variety.

It has been an interesting adventure with this variety. If you are interested in talking about working with Blues and Lilacs, we invite you to exchange thoughts and ideas to improve these varieties in a friendly forum. It doesn't matter where you are located or what club you do or don't belong to. If you've followed the trend for declining entries for all dilutes at the big shows and are interested in reversing this trend, drop me a note. This is an open invitation for everyone interested in improving their dilutes and to bounce ideas off folks who are facing the same challenges and successes.
