JeremyHi Kiddo -

I put this page on my web site just for you. It will always be here for you. I love you forever.

6/9/2010 - Finished up the last of my Census cases yesterday. The next phase doesn't start for another couple of weeks so I have some time to putter around here. I started by pulling all the plants by the garage and replanting with shade plants. Also worked on cutting down some of the weeds with the weedeater in the front. The rain has really made them grow fast. I plan on having lunch with Great Grandma tomorrow.

6/5/2010 - I picked up my bicycle. The street tires are on it now. I just need some dry days to begin riding with S'more.

6/3/2010 - I had left a message with your mom asking if you might be interested in going on errands with me since I got off work early. She didn't reply so I stopped by your house. I don't understand why you ran off when got there. If my being there gets you in trouble, I won't do it again. I won't call again until you say it's ok.

I took advantage of the dry day and mowed the lawn. Looks nice again. Now I just have to follow up with the weed eater to finish it up. I dropped my bike off this morning at the bike shop in St. Helens to have them put my street tires back on. I'll save the knobbies for when I get back into downhill riding again later this summer. I'm going to start riding with S'more again next week. It will be good exercise for both of us. I should have another issue of the Tribune done soon. I'll email you a link to it. You'll want to look at the first page. I guess that's about it for today. I hope you had a good day.

6/2/2010 - I wasn't sure you were going to be reading this so I'm running a little behind. Gosh, I have lots of news to share with you. We have six of the checkpoints finished on the Grand Tour. You can see what we've finished by using this link. It should open a new window so you won't lose track of where you were on this one. We had a good time camping over last weekend even though it pretty much rained through most of it. The motorcycle club strung up tarps over the tables and tents so everyone stayed dry. I tried out those new lights I have that look like little lanterns. They work perfectly. I had to leave a bit early to come back to work but overall I had a good time. Grandpa was a course marshall for the triathalon in Corvallis later that afternoon so he didn't get back home until late. He said everyone had a great time.

The grass is really growing with all this rain. We sure could use an excellent mower dude to give us a hand (wink, wink). I'm going to put in a brick walkway in the back yard. I watched some video's on the Lowes website so I think I have a good idea of everything we need to do to install it properly. I think I'll have some time this weekend to work on it. And of course, the raised beds for our vegetable garden. I need to get the tomato plants out soon.

5/29/2010 - Grandpa figured out how to load movies on to our MP3 players so you can watch movies or listen to music or play games while we are riding the motorcycles. I'm planning on taking mine to rabbit shows with me - I can watch while I am waiting for our breed to be called up for judging.

5/28/2010 - The first of the convention litters arrived this morning. There are two Black and one Chocolate baby in this one. As usual, Tuesday is being over protective so it's hard to get a peek at them but she is an excellent mother so I'm not worried about them. They'll be popping out of the nest box in a couple of weeks so I'll be patient and wait.

5/18/2010 - Warehouse 13 reruns are available again. Maybe that means new episodes are coming! I really enjoyed the first season of the show. I think you did too. It's one of my favorites.

5/16/2010 - I've been looking for wood and vinyl to redo the kitchen floor. I spied some bamboo on Craigslist... enough to do the entire living room. Got it for an excellent price. I'll be working on that sometime in June. You can help if you have time. You are a good helper buddy. I also found a new vinyl window for the front of the house on Craigslist and bought that too. I'll be ordering a matching window soon. I have to wait for the rain to stop before I can install them. Seems the rain is going to be with us for a while so I have to be patient and wait.

5/6/2010 - Your Highlights Magazine has started coming in the mail. They are on your bed waiting for your next visit. You are getting your own personal mail. Every now and then I think about enjoying a puzzle or two but I'll wait until you are here. They are more fun to do with you. They have an interesting bonus website with extra puzzles and activities. I put a bookmark in your favorites on the computer for you.

4/19/2010 - From the sounds of it, we won't have you on Sundays on our weekends. So we'll make the most of it by communicating this way inbetween. I'll keep adding to this journal so you can read it any time and catch up on what we've been doing around here.

I'll start out with some pictures from last year I thought you might enjoy from our road trip to the Redwood Forest. I'm still hoping someday we'll get to take you to Yosemite in central California with the giant redwoods and one of the biggest waterfalls in the world.

In the Redwood Forest California coast

I'm working on fine tuning our entries for the Tan Nationals coming up this weekend in New Mexico. Today is the last day to change anything. I'm considering bumping the Blue girls up to seniors. I will have to weight them first to make sure they meet the minimum senior weight even though they are only five months old. Tomorrow I will be vacuuming the car out so I can begin packing up the carriers and getting all the rabbit gear ready. All totalled, I'm taking 16 rabbits with me. I'm taking two for Meg. There's your two and I have seven plus I'm taking three for breeding. I worked out a trade with a Tan breeder who lives in New York. And Andy is going to go live in Iowa so he's catching his ride at Nationals. And there's a girl in eastern Washington who is sending her little Blue buck with me to take to New Mexico since she can't go. He's been here for a couple of weeks.

I've had all the kids out running every day. I'm hoping their coats hold in this warm weather. Unfortunately, my junior Chocolate buck is already molting so he looks awful. His brother and sisters look great but they are Blacks so the molts don't show up so much on those coats. Everyone has been wormed and dusted and are looking pretty good... except for the Chocolate buck. Maybe he won't look so bad by the weekend. He still has to go because he's entered in the show and he's been sold.

I ordered your subscription to the Highlights Magazine. The first issue should arrive in about two visits. I found some neat things on their site I think you'll have fun with. I put a bookmark in your folder.

After we get back from New Mexico, we need to plan out which checkpoints you'll be able to go with us for the Grand Tour. I'm hoping to be able to catch some more of the covered bridges if we are close by them. I put together a collection of the bridges we found last year. Click on this link to look at them. Bet you remember most of them. The first one on the bottom of the page is up by Dave and Lisa's. I know you haven't seen that one yet. I'll run you up there when we have a free Saturday sometime. You'll love it there.
